In discussion with CIO Applications, Clay Li, the CEO of CalemEAM, shared with us how the company strives to offer the best in-house EAM solution by amalgamating business strategies with the appropriate customer care. “We work together with our clients to identify what are their key requirements, their security requirements, access control, and future processes, to achieve their business goals,” begins Li.
What are some of the customer demands or challenges you see your clients face today, and how is CalemEAM resolving those?
Firstly, most clients at present are looking for increased flexibility within their operating systems, alongside easy configurability. In this context, CalemEAM allows customers to add customizable fields within its EAM solution that are compatible with the screens of both desktops and mobile, with features pertaining to configurable drop-down options, add help notes, and change the UI screens. The hurdle most organizations face relates to the flexibility of the systems and compatibility with UI screens, which CalemEAM effectively resolves. Along with this, the use of maintenance functions can be configured by the CalemEAM administrators, depending on their job role. Our mobile-friendly solution allows clients to scan the bar code on the assets with their mobile devices. These quick scans, by workers and supervisors, give better visibility on outstanding work orders on any particular assets. It can also be helpful for technicians who can scan any asset to know whether that specific work has been assigned to him or not.
Please shed some more light on your solution delivery model, its core functionalities, and the benefits your clients reap from it.
We work together with our clients to identify what are their key requirements, their security requirements, access control, and future processes, to achieve their business goals
Additionally, our service request, work order, and preventive and maintenance modules help to formulate time and condition-based work orders. The change management module is another exciting element of our offerings that allows organizations to monitor and analyze any change and enable the entire workforce to adhere to it. Apart from this, CalemEAM also provides the inventory module that helps clients manage and monitor warehouse inventories and the system function module that allows clients to configure modules and user screens. The workflow module can send notifications to users. Alongside these capabilities, the clients are delivered the best-in-house user experience and screen updates without even refreshing the whole webpage.
Another important aspect of our offerings is that we provide training to the users through our website. Clients can take these web-based training, at their own pace, and simultaneously work with us to improve their EAM. We also go ahead and conduct regular web-meetings to continually communicate with our clients, to provide the necessary support and assistance at all times.
Please elaborate on a customer success story that well-establishes the successful journey you shared with that particular client.
One of the use cases that I find most appropriate among many of the successes has been our engagement with a client who faced the issue of duplicate work orders, which was creating slack in their overall operations. CalemEAM implemented a unique parent-child topology to the work orders where the duplicate work orders were categorized as child work orders, to prevent them from being displayed once the filters were run on their systems. This helped the clients get a better picture of the work orders they needed to fulfill and avoided any repetition in the process.
What does the future hold for CalemEAM and its clients?
With a continuous delivery approach to cater to evolving client requirements and spur consistent growth, we are focused on growing our solutions’ vertical configurability to a great extent. The company is also striving to integrate with Salesforce via a solution exclusive to their platform. We are also working closely with our partners to help market CalemEAM globally, for instance, in Asia. We will continue to improve our solutions, by adding new features, while enhancing their capabilities, to successfully meet the requirements of the current clientele and the potential ones as well.
